In short: we collect only what we need to run PoseUp, we never sell your personal data, and you stay in control — you can download or delete your data at any time.

2.How we use your information
- To operate the Service — host live rooms, deliver captures to moment albums, process gifts and payouts.
- To personalise your feed and recommend creators, rooms, and challenges you might enjoy.
- To keep the community safe — detecting spam, fraud, and content that violates our Terms.
- To communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support requests.
- To understand how PoseUp is used and improve features and performance.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3.When we share information
We never sell your personal data. We share information only in these situations:
- With other users: your profile, public content, and live activity are visible per your privacy settings.
- With service providers: hosting, analytics, payment processing, and content moderation partners who work under strict contracts.
- For legal reasons: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
- Business transfers: if PoseUp is involved in a merger or acquisition, your data may transfer under the same protections.
4.Live rooms & group captures
Live rooms are social by design. When you join a room, your username and presence are visible to other participants. Captures taken on the countdown include everyone on screen and are saved to the room's shared moment album, accessible to all participants of that room. If you don't want to appear in captures, leave the room or turn your camera off before the countdown ends.
5.Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records to comply with legal, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations (kept no longer than necessary). Group captures you appeared in may remain in other participants' albums, with your account no longer linked.
6.Your rights & choices
- Access & portability: request a copy of your data from Settings → Privacy → Download my data.
- Correction: update your profile details anytime in the app.
- Deletion: delete your account in-app or via our account deletion page.
- Permissions: revoke camera, microphone, or notification access from your device settings.
- Marketing: opt out of promotional messages from Settings → Notifications.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection laws (such as India's DPDP Act or the GDPR). To exercise any right, email privacy@poseup.live.
7.How we protect your data
We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure, so please use a strong password and keep your login details private.
8.Children's privacy
PoseUp is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 is using PoseUp, contact us at privacy@poseup.live and we will remove the account and its data.
9.Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies to keep the site working and optional analytics cookies to understand site traffic. You can manage optional cookies through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
10.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
